RoHS Directive
The RoHS Directive has been achieved for all of IPD’s power supplies. The Rohs Directive was adopted by IPD to ensure their customers’ have the information that they need to make informed purchasing decisions. The RoHS Directive stands for "the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment". The RoHS Directive bans the placing on the EU market of new electrical and electronic equipment containing more than agreed levels of lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyl (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) flame retardants.
The Rohs Directive was adopted and implemented to ensure that our products, and our components, comply with the directive and to further ensure that our customers have the information on quantity that they need to make informed purchasing decisions. They can be confident that when they make a purchase from IPD they are not being sold short weight or measure.
RoHS and other efforts to reduce hazardous materials in electronics are motivated in part to address the global issue of consumer electronics waste. As newer technology arrives at an ever increasing rate, consumers are discarding their obsolete products sooner than ever.
