Switching Mode Power Supply Manufacturer: IPD, Inc.

IPD has been developing switching mode power supply designs since 1985. IPD’s switching mode power supply designs meet a wide variety of applications. Our switching mode power supply offering includes both AC-DC & DC-DC supplies

The size and weight penalties associated with a conventional AC line frequency transformer driven a-c to d-c power supply, has led to the development of switching mode power supply products. They use a switch to control large amounts of power with relatively little loss. The efficiency of a switching mode design permits the control of large amounts of power with minimal loss.
A switching mode power supply often lacks the large dynamic range that would make programming a practical matter. Therefore, switching mode supplies are generally used for fixed output or limited adjustment range output designs. Present day switching mode power supply designs us a switching frequency within 100-300 KHz. This leads to an overall smaller design.
Our power supply designs are for a global market place, which include industrial and medical applications. Our safety agency approvals reflect this with most of our products having both EN60950 ITE certification and EN60601-1 medical certification.

If you have a requirement which does not exactly match up with a particular switching mode power supply solutions on our website, please contact us. The versatility of our power supplies allows our technical staff to make modifications that can meet your needs.

In recent years, Integrated Power Designs has expanded its range of electronic supply solutions from 25W to 300W utilizing the most advanced manufacturing techniques.

IPD is the manufacturer of AC-DC & DC-DC Power Supplies. Our products are sold to general industries, including Medical, Automotive, Telecommunications and Test Instruments. Presently, our products are shipped throughout the world with global approvals.

IPD was founded April of 1985. At that time the company was located in Milltown, NJ, where it began manufacturing DC to DC Power Supplies. Then in March of 1986, the company relocated to larger facilities in Lawrenceville, NJ. Over the next 6 years, the product line was expanded and sales increased. The need for a larger production area was essential to the growth of IPD. On March 1, 1992, IPD opened its doors for production at our new Wilkes-Barre, PA, location. By 1996, the Company outgrew its present building and in 1997, added 45,000 sq. ft. to the existing building.
