Compact, High Density AC-DC Power Supplies are IEC Approved

Integrated Power Designs’ current sharing NXT series of compact, single output power supplies range from 100 to 400 Watts, and are ideal for use in 60601-1 medical and 60950-1 industrial power supply applications. Each NXT series power supply has its own load share controller. The controller has an Enable/ Disable feature to allow for a hot swap configuration. Current sharing is achieved through a single wire connection common to all paralleled modules. These units are suitable for N+1 redundant systems or high current applications where two or more power supplies need to be paralleled.

The eight ultra-small AC-DC NXT-100 power supplies, for example, provide adjustable, single outputs from 2.5VDC to 48VDC. Efficiency is 85% typical, line and load regulation are 0.5%, with extended temperature range that achieves unit start-up down to –40°C (-WT models); operating temperatures are up to +70°C with airflow.  The NXT-100 series features a high power density of 8.9W/inch³ and universal 85–264VAC input in a 1U high chassis. Comprehensive protection circuitry is inherent in the NXT-100’s advanced SMT design.

As is true of all of the company’s medical supplies the NXT Series meet or exceed the latest IEC requirements, boasting worldwide safety compliance to both EN60101-1 3rd edition (medical) and EN60950-1 (information and technology equipment) standards. What’s more, the most recent CB Certificates can be downloaded from individual product pages on the IPD website. The company’s philosophy is to have power supplies that always meet the most recent standard even before it goes into effect giving engineers the product they need, when they need it.  All of IPD’s products are designed, tested and manufactured at one site.  This allows the company to keep tight constraints on all quality controls for its power supplies.
